What does the fund do?

The Fund is intended for companies from different sectors of the economy operating on the Polish market. It engages with companies conducting activities which have appropriate experience in their sector, where the business model and technologies applied have proved successful in business operations.

The Fund is interested particularly in entities that have built a strong market position in their industry, have significant growth potential and are increasing their revenues while improving efficiency or implementing innovations. The Fund may also invest in entities that meet sustainability criteria and ESG standards

Who may benefit from the Fund?

  • companies operating on the Polish market,
  • enterprises with experience in their sectors,
  • primarily companies from the following sectors: fuels and energy, chemicals and raw materials, consumer goods, trade and services, healthcare, industrial production and construction, technology, media and telecommunications, infrastructure.
  • investments in entities from other sectors are not excluded.

What purposes or projects are implemented by the fund?

  • Improving the situation of enterprises through the improvement of products, improvement of operational effectiveness and growth achieved in an organic way or in the acquisition processes of other entities.
  • Development of entities of key importance for the Polish economy so that they can compete effectively with foreign markets.
  • Supporting enterprises in the implementation of infrastructure projects.

How does the fund financing function?

The Fund provides funding in several forms:

  • acquiring new or existing shares in capital companies,
  • subscribing to or purchasing bonds,
  • acquiring debt and providing debt financing, including mezzanine,
  • granting hybrid financing that combines the features of equity and debt financing, e.g. bonds convertible into shares.

The Fund’s investment portfolio is managed by PFR S.A. The decision of the Fund’s engagement is preceded by negotiations.

Area of operation and legal requirements:

The Fund provides financing to companies in various sectors of the economy, including those of strategic importance, such as fuels and energy, chemicals and raw materials, telecommunications, industry and infrastructure.

The Fund concentrates on enterprises which:

  • have registered offices in Poland, or
  • generate a substantial part of their revenue on the Polish market, or
  • are connected with the Polish economy in another way.

We may also engage in such projects as sections of cross-border transmission networks.

SFDR Classification

The fund is classified as an Article 6 fund under the EU Sustainable Funding Disclosure Regulation (SFDR), which means that sustainability risk is taken into account in the investment decision-making process.

Sustainability risk in the SFDR is defined as: an environmental, social, or governance event, or condition that, if it occurs, could cause an actual or a potential material negative impact on the value of the investment arising from an adverse sustainability impact.

Information on the mergering of funds

On April 14, 2022, Fundusz Inwestycji Infrastrukturalnych - Kapitałowy FIZ AN (Acquired Fund) merged with Fundusz Inwestycji Polskich Przedsiębiorstw FIZ AN (Acquiring Fund).
